This year&#8217;s programme has a timely focus on the role of disinformation in fuelling hate speech, conflict and violent extremism.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since 2017, <span class=\"xn-person\">One Young World<\/span> and the European Commission has supported 240 young people involved in peacebuilding and conflict prevention initiatives throughout the world to make the future safer.<\/p>\n<p>The Peace Ambassadors will participate in four transformative days of speeches, panels, networking, and workshops, where they are counselled by influential political, business, and humanitarian leaders such as former UN Secretary General <span class=\"xn-person\">Ban Ki<\/span>-moon, former Unilever CEO <span class=\"xn-person\">Paul Polman<\/span>, and The Duchess of <span class=\"xn-location\">Sussex<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Delegates have the opportunity to share a platform, challenge, engage and make lasting connections with global leaders with the world&#8217;s media in attendance.<\/p>\n<p>The Summit will take place at the Manchester Central from <span class=\"xn-chron\">September 5th to 8th<\/span>, with the Opening Ceremony held at the internationally renowned concert venue <span class=\"xn-person\">Bridgewater Hall<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"xn-person\">Ella Robertson McKay<\/span>, Managing Director of <span class=\"xn-person\">One Young World<\/span>, commented: <\/b>&#8220;We&#8217;re delighted to welcome this year&#8217;s cohort of Peace Ambassadors to <span class=\"xn-location\">Manchester<\/span> in partnership with the European Commission.
