(&#8220;ChipMOS&#8221; or the &#8220;Company&#8221;) (Taiwan Stock Exchange: <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/quote\/8150.TW?p=8150.TW\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">8150<\/a> and NASDAQ: IMOS), an industry leading provider of outsourced semiconductor assembly and test services (&#8220;OSAT&#8221;), today reported consolidated financial results for the third quarter ended <span class=\"xn-chron\">September 30, 2022<\/span>, which were adversely impacted by global inflationary pressures, inventory adjustments and macro weakness. All U.S. dollar figures cited in this press release are based on the exchange rate of <span class=\"xn-money\">NT$31.78<\/span> against <span class=\"xn-money\">US$1.00<\/span> as of <span class=\"xn-chron\">September 30, 2022<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>All the figures were prepared in accordance with Taiwan-International Financial Reporting Standards (&#8220;Taiwan-IFRS&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>Revenue for the third quarter of 2022 was <span class=\"xn-money\">NT$5,254.0 million<\/span> or <span class=\"xn-money\">US$165.3 million<\/span>, a decrease of 23.3% from <span class=\"xn-money\">NT$6,851.7 million<\/span> or <span class=\"xn-money\">US$215.6 million<\/span> in the second quarter of 2022 and a decrease of 26.6% from <span class=\"xn-money\">NT$7,161.0 million<\/span> or <span class=\"xn-money\">US$225.3 million<\/span> for the same period in 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Net non-operating income in third quarter of 2022 was <span class=\"xn-money\">NT$403.3 million<\/span> or <span class=\"xn-money\">US$12.7 million<\/span>, compared to <span class=\"xn-money\">NT$308.9 million<\/span> or <span class=\"xn-money\">US$9.7 million<\/span> in the second quarter of 2022, and <span class=\"xn-money\">NT$147.5 million<\/span> or <span class=\"xn-money\">US$4.6 million<\/span> in the third quarter of 2021. Third quarter 2022 results benefitted from foreign exchange gains of <span class=\"xn-money\">NT$74 million<\/span> or <span class=\"xn-money\">US$2.3 million<\/span> and the decrease of loss on valuation of financial assets at fair value through profit or loss of <span class=\"xn-money\">NT$18 million<\/span> or <span class=\"xn-money\">US$0.6 million<\/span> compared to the prior quarter.
