The containership is one of two 15,000-TEU series that the Group has deployed on the weekly Asia Central South America 1 (ACSA1) service.<\/p>\n<p><b>Two 15 000 TEU vessels to facilitate trade flows between Latin American and Asia <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Arriving from central and south America, the vessel is now the largest containership to call a Japanese port on a regular service and has brought import shipments of fresh fruits from <span class=\"xn-location\">Ecuador<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Guatemala<\/span> as well as coffee and malt from <span class=\"xn-location\">Colombia<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Mexico<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>A trusted shipping service that connects the important <span class=\"xn-person\">Asia-Latin America<\/span> trade corridor, the ACSA1 service makes a port stop at the Honmoku D4 terminal each week. Operated by CMA CGM, the terminal has a total annual operating capacity of over 550,000 TEUs and contributes to about 15 % of <span class=\"xn-location\">Yokohama&#8217;s<\/span> port throughput.<\/p>\n<p>From <span class=\"xn-location\">Yokohama<\/span>, CMA CGM <span class=\"xn-location\">ARGENTINA<\/span> will head for <span class=\"xn-location\">Busan<\/span> in Korea and Shekou in <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> to complete her westbound leg of the ACSA1 service. From Shekou, the eastbound lap of the service commences with the rotation of Shekou \u2013 <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span> \u2013 Kaohsiung \u2013 <span class=\"xn-location\">Ningbo<\/span> \u2013 <span class=\"xn-location\">Shanghai<\/span> \u2013 <span class=\"xn-location\">Busan<\/span> \u2013 <span class=\"xn-location\">Manzanillo<\/span> \u2013 Lazaro Gardens \u2013 <span class=\"xn-location\">Buenaventura<\/span> \u2013 Callao \u2013 Posorja \u2013 Lazaro \u2013 <span class=\"xn-location\">Manzanillo<\/span> \u2013 <span class=\"xn-location\">Yokohama<\/span> \u2013 <span class=\"xn-location\">Busan<\/span> \u2013 Shekou.<\/p>\n<p><b><span class=\"xn-person\">Hideki Uchida<\/span>, President of CMA CGM Japan <\/b>said <i>&#8220;The CMA CGM Group&#8217;s 15,000-TEU series of vessels will stand as the largest regular service vessels to call <span class=\"xn-location\">Japan<\/span> today. The introduction of the larger vessels on the ACSA1 service will not only accommodate more <span class=\"xn-location\">Yokohama<\/span>-bound fresh produce on a single voyage, they are part of our plans to grow inbound cargoes from Central and Southern America ahead.
