The service will debut as the first and fastest direct service that connects <span class=\"xn-location\">Bangladesh<\/span> to Jebel Ali and <span class=\"xn-location\">Abu Dhabi<\/span> in the Gulf; as well as Nhava Sheva and Mundra in <span class=\"xn-location\">India<\/span>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"PRN_ImbeddedAssetReference\" id=\"DivAssetPlaceHolder1\">\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/mma.prnasia.com\/media2\/2032764\/BIGEX.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mma.prnasia.com\/media2\/2032764\/BIGEX.jpg?p=medium600\" title alt> <\/a> <br \/><span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>BIGEX will commence sailing from the port of <span class=\"xn-location\">Chittagong<\/span> on 5th April. Three 1,700-TEU vessels deployed on the service will ply the westbound rotation of <span class=\"xn-location\">Chittagong<\/span> &#8211; <span class=\"xn-location\">Colombo<\/span> &#8211; Mangalore &#8211; Nhava Sheva \u2013 Mundra; and Jebel Ali &#8211; <span class=\"xn-person\">Khalifa Port<\/span> on the eastbound leg.<\/p>\n<p><b>Transforming <span class=\"xn-location\">Bangladesh&#8217;s<\/span> sea lane to the <span class=\"xn-location\">Middle East<\/span> and India West Coast<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The introduction of BIGEX charts the <span class=\"xn-location\">Bangladesh<\/span>&#8211;<span class=\"xn-location\">India<\/span>&#8211;<span class=\"xn-location\">Sri Lanka<\/span>-Gulf corridor, transforming <span class=\"xn-location\">Bangladesh&#8217;s<\/span> sea lane to the Gulf and India West Coast.<\/p>\n<p>Characterised by fast transit times, exports from <span class=\"xn-location\">Chittagong<\/span> will reach Jebel Ali and <span class=\"xn-location\">Abu Dhabi<\/span> in just 14 and 15 days respectively. A more efficient and greener alternative to trucking, BIGEX will get <span class=\"xn-location\">Bangladesh<\/span> shipments to Nhava Sheva and Mundra in eight and 10 days respectively.<\/p>\n<p><b>Diversifying <span class=\"xn-location\">Bangladesh&#8217;s<\/span> transhipment connectivity<\/b><\/p>\n<p>BIGEX is also set to diversify <span class=\"xn-location\">Chittagong&#8217;s<\/span> connectivity to transhipment hubs beyond the key Asian ports to the Gulf and India West Coast ports.<\/p>\n<p>This expands the routes to markets and further reduces transit time, such as that for US-bound <span class=\"xn-location\">Bangladesh<\/span> cargoes that will be relayed via <span class=\"xn-location\">Colombo<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><b>Providing end-to-end shipping and inland solutions<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Entered <span class=\"xn-location\">Bangladesh<\/span> in 1996, the CMA CGM Group currently employs almost 80 staff members across three agency offices in <span class=\"xn-location\">Chittagong<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Dhaka<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Khulna<\/span>.
