Thus, ITE well prepared for recovery<span id=\"spanHghlt833f\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Often ranked <span class=\"xn-location\">Asia&#8217;s<\/span> third largest and World&#8217;s eleven largest market, <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span> in 2019 spent over <span class=\"xn-money\">US$26 billion<\/span> on international travel.<\/p>\n<p>Pent up demand strong and sustainable in <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span><span id=\"spanHghltedbe\">.<\/span> Last December, over 600 outbound tour groups departed with 70% to Asian destinations but long haul tours are also popular. Residents made in 5 days of Spring Festival over 0.45 million departures; and in first 9 days of April during Easter etc. around 2.55 million departures<span id=\"spanHghlt0b03\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span>, with <span class=\"xn-location\">Shenzhen<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangzhou<\/span> and other neighboring cities, constitute the Greater Bay Area which has in 2020 population over 86 million and the GDP of <span class=\"xn-money\">USD 1,668.8 billion<\/span>. Pre-pandemic, ITE drew 2000 buyers and trade visitors from <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangdong<\/span> and another 1000 from other Chinese provinces.<\/p>\n<p>Highly international, ITE2023 expect from some 50 countries and regions over 400 exhibitors of whom 70% from outside or overseas.<\/p>\n<p>Present are official pavilions \/ stands from destinations of <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> (mainland), <span class=\"xn-location\">Macau<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Taiwan<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Thailand<\/span>, various prefectures of <span class=\"xn-location\">Japan<\/span>, Czech, <span class=\"xn-location\">Poland<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Papua New Guinea<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Ras Al Khaimah<\/span> of UAE, <span class=\"xn-location\">St. Petersburg<\/span> of <span class=\"xn-location\">Russia<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">South Korea<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Philippines<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Nepal<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Sabah<\/span> of <span class=\"xn-location\">Malaysia<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Mongolia<\/span>; and independent exhibitors from <span class=\"xn-location\">Cambodia<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Switzerland<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Canada<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Iceland<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Georgia<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Tanzania<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Vietnam<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, ITE drew over 11000 buyers and regional trade visitors with nearly 40% from outside and abroad, and some 80000 public visitors with over 80% quality FIT. With borders fully reopen, ITE2023 expects again regional trade visitors.<\/p>\n<p>Held annually, ITE is <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong&#8217;s<\/span> only travel fair.
