The Super Mario Bros. Movie<\/i><\/b> is the Highest Grossing Animated film in 4DX’s history in the Domestic Marketplace and across Europe<\/span> <\/b><\/p>\n

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.<\/span>, April 27, 2023<\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ — CJ 4DPLEX<\/a><\/b>, the world’s leading producer of premium film formats and cinema technologies, announced today that Illumination, Nintendo and Universal Pictures’ The Super Mario Bros. Movie<\/i><\/b> has become the highest grossing animation film ever released in 4DX, both domestically and in Europe<\/span>.<\/p>\n

To date, domestically, the film has grossed over $6.3 million<\/span> on 58 4DX premium theaters, bolstering a per screen average of $108,000<\/span>.<\/p>\n

In Europe<\/span>, The Super Mario Bros. Movie has now tallied over $8.6 million<\/span> at the box office with the region’s top performer, the UK, which generated over $2.4 million<\/span> with a per screen average of $67k<\/span> and takes the title as the highest box office performer of any premium format on its opening weekend. Other notable markets include France<\/span>, with a box office of $2.1M<\/span> with a PSA of $50k<\/span>, Switzerland<\/span>, $1.3 million<\/span> and a PSA of $88k<\/span> and Belgium<\/span>, $528k<\/span> with a PSA of $88k<\/span>.<\/p>\n
