They also discussed opportunities for <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangdong<\/span> litchi to gain a higher market share in <span class=\"xn-location\">Singapore<\/span> and other RCEP member countries, thus satisfying local consumers&#8217; demands for healthy and fresh fruits.<\/p>\n<p>Three different litchi varieties served at the event, including Jianggang Hongnuo, Nuomici and Liuxi Guiwei, were offered by Guangzhou Conghua Hualong Fruit and Vegetable Company, a leading agricultural enterprise in <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangdong<\/span>. After being picked at the company&#8217;s litchi orchard, the litchi was delivered to <span class=\"xn-location\">Singapore<\/span> by air within 24 hours.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our litchi can arrive in <span class=\"xn-location\">Singapore&#8217;s<\/span> markets within a day and in <span class=\"xn-location\">Europe<\/span> within three days,&#8221; said <span class=\"xn-person\">Alvin Ye<\/span>, the representative of Guangzhou Conghua Hualong Fruit and Vegetable Company. &#8220;We are also working on litchi fresh-keeping technology, making sure that they can keep fresh for a long time at a specific temperature, so as to further meet overseas consumers&#8217; demands.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This event is conducive to pushing forward the agricultural cooperation between <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangdong<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Singapore<\/span>, allowing Singaporean locals to taste fresh litchi from <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangdong<\/span>,&#8221; said <span class=\"xn-person\">Dorothy Seet<\/span>, the immediate past chairperson of SingCham China and the chairperson of SingCham Alumni. She also stressed the expectation that more <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangdong<\/span> litchi will hit <span class=\"xn-location\">Singapore&#8217;s<\/span> shelves in the future under&nbsp;RCEP.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is my first time tasting such fresh litchi from <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangdong<\/span>. Big in size, it is very sweet and crispy,&#8221; said <span class=\"xn-person\">Casey Woo<\/span>, CEO of Sheng Yeh International Trading Pte.
