Cook has also taken an ownership stake in the second Major League Pickleball Australia team to be sold, the Gold Coast Glory.<\/p>\n<div class=\"PRN_ImbeddedAssetReference\" id=\"DivAssetPlaceHolder1\">\n<p style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: center; WIDTH: 100%\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/mma.prnasia.com\/media2\/2340100\/image_1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mma.prnasia.com\/media2\/2340100\/image_1.jpg?p=medium600\" title=\"\" alt=\"\" \/> <\/a> <br \/><span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Reaching the pinnacle of her beach volleyball career with a Gold at the 2000 Olympic games, a focus of Nat&#8217;s now is to help athletes make a living out of their sport and for all Australians to be active and healthy.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;With the rise of pickleball, and regularly playing it myself, I can&#8217;t think of any better sport to be a part of, to support the athletes in <span class=\"xn-location\">Australia&#8217;s<\/span> official professional pickleball league.&quot; Cook said.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xn-person\">Anthony Liveris<\/span>, President of Pacific Pickleball commented, &quot;As a passionate athlete advocate, Nat brings a unique perspective on advancing athlete&#8217;s interests in our rapidly growing sport.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Cook is also a Director of <span class=\"xn-location\">Brisbane<\/span> 2032, Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee, and holds a position on the World Olympians Association Board.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xn-person\">Adam Thompson<\/span>, CEO of Pacific Pickleball, added &quot;Nat brings a deep passion for the power of sport to impact lives, and will help elevate pickleball to a new standard.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Coming into its second year, Major League Pickleball Australia, the official professional pickleball league of <span class=\"xn-location\">Australia<\/span>, boasts a prize pool of over <span class=\"xn-money\">$700,000<\/span> across six events in <span class=\"xn-location\">Australia<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">New Zealand<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Asia<\/span>. The league features twelve professional teams, showcasing the top players in the region, complemented by international talents.
