The investments include the company&#8217;s recent agreement with The Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corporation (LIPAD) to expand its operations at Clark Airport (CRK) in <span class=\"xn-location\">the Philippines<\/span>. UPS has continued to invest in our network to maximize speed and flexibility, build solutions addressing the shift of global trade lanes, and offer resilience for our customers,&quot; said <span class=\"xn-person\">Wilfredo Ramos<\/span>, president UPS Asia Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement is the latest in a series of recent network and facility enhancements the company has made across <span class=\"xn-location\">Asia Pacific<\/span> including in <span class=\"xn-location\">Singapore<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Japan<\/span>, mainland <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Vietnam<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">South Korea<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Taiwan<\/span>, and most recently <span class=\"xn-location\">Hong Kong<\/span>, where UPS announced it will <a href=\"https:\/\/about.ups.com\/us\/en\/newsroom\/press-releases\/customer-first\/ups-to-boost-global-trade-with-enhanced-operations-at-new-hub-at.html#:~:text=The%20new%20hub%20will%20serve,with%20direct%20access%20to%20aircraft.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">open a new state-of-the-art facility<\/a> by 2028.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;We have been doing business in our <span class=\"xn-location\">Philippines<\/span> hub for more than 25 years, helping to connect businesses to markets in <span class=\"xn-location\">Asia Pacific<\/span> and beyond. The investments UPS continues to make through this expansion will enhance time in transit across <span class=\"xn-location\">Asia Pacific<\/span> and continue to deliver service reliability for our customers and position UPS for long term growth,&quot; Ramos added.<\/p>\n<p>Since 2022, UPS has also invested intensively in its Healthcare business introducing UPS Premier \u2013 which provides priority handling for time- and temperature-sensitive, patient-critical products \u2013 in nine markets across the <span class=\"xn-location\">Asia Pacific<\/span> region. In 2023, the company added over 22,000 square meters of cold-chain enabled handling, storage and distribution space via new healthcare facilities in <span class=\"xn-location\">Singapore<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Australia<\/span>. An additional 12,000 square meters is planned for 2024.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;UPS&#8217;s expansion in Clark will bring positive changes to Pampanga, providing job opportunities for the local community and serving as an economic stimulus in the region,&quot; said LIPAD Chairperson Josephine Gotianun Yap.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;This partnership between UPS and LIPAD also represents a significant milestone in developing Clark as an ideal logistics hub for global brands aiming to establish or expand their international operations.
