Some cities in the <span class=\"xn-location\">Beijing<\/span>&#8211;<span class=\"xn-location\">Tianjin<\/span>&#8211;<span class=\"xn-location\">Hebei<\/span> region, <span class=\"xn-location\">Jiangsu<\/span>&#8211;<span class=\"xn-location\">Zhejiang<\/span>&#8211;<span class=\"xn-location\">Shanghai<\/span> region and <span class=\"xn-location\">Guangdong<\/span> implemented the 72\/144-hour visa-free transit policy for 53 countries, including the UK, <span class=\"xn-location\">France<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Australia<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>On <span class=\"xn-chron\">May 15<\/span><sup>th<\/sup>, 2024, the NIA announced to permit the entry of foreign tourists by cruise ship without a visa, facilitating inbound visits by Australian residents. According to NIA, the number of Australian visitors to China is continuously increasing.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"xn-location\">Australia<\/span> has a large community of Chinese origin. The introduction of the unilateral visa-free policy not only facilitates their visits to relatives and friends but also a chance to see the changes in <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> over the years.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to <span class=\"xn-location\">Australia<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">New Zealand<\/span> will also be included in the unilateral visa-free list, as flights between China and <span class=\"xn-location\">New Zealand<\/span> have recovered quickly. Since <span class=\"xn-chron\">December 2024<\/span>, direct flights between China and <span class=\"xn-location\">New Zealand<\/span> have recovered to that of pre-pandemic period. Six airlines including Air New Zealand, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Air China, Hainan Airlines, and Cathay Pacific are offering direct flights from eight stops in <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> to <span class=\"xn-location\">New Zealand<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Since last year, China has been continuously expanding the unilateral visa-free countries. To date, China has implemented unilateral visa-free for countries including <span class=\"xn-location\">France<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Germany<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Italy<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">the Netherlands<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Spain<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Switzerland<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Ireland<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Hungary<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Austria<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Belgium<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Luxembourg<\/span>, etc. Additionally, <span class=\"xn-location\">Thailand<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Singapore<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Malaysia<\/span>, and <span class=\"xn-location\">Georgia<\/span> have been mutually visa-free countries with China.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BEIJING, June 27, 2024 \/PRNewswire\/ &#8212; News reported by China Matters.
