SEOUL, South Korea<\/span><\/span>, Feb. 17, 2025<\/span><\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ — On February 8, 2025<\/span>, <\/span>VOI<\/span>THRU, a leader in cultural content translation, successfully concluded its 2nd t<\/b>\u014dtus Translation Contest Award Ceremony<\/b> at its headquarters.<\/p>\n

The contest, held in October 2024<\/span>, was supported by Kakao Piccoma, Code Crayon, Tooneed Entertainment, C&C Revolution, and DCCENT<\/b>\u2014which provided translation materials\u2014with additional sponsorship from the Korean Society of Translators<\/b> and the Committee of ITT.<\/b><\/p>\n

The competition featured six categories: Korean video translation<\/b> (into English, Japanese, or Traditional Chinese) and Korean webtoon translation<\/b> (into English, Japanese, or Spanish). Participants submitted their translations in the category of their choice.<\/p>\n

The event saw record-breaking participation, with 3,586 translators worldwide. <\/b>A total of 18 winners<\/b> were selected: one Grand Prize winner, one 1st runner-up, and one 2nd runner-up from each category. Grand Prize winners received KRW 5 million<\/span>,<\/b> 1st runners-up were awarded KRW 2 million<\/span>,<\/b> and 2nd runners-up received KRW 1 million<\/span>.<\/b><\/p>\n

Jeehyung Lee<\/b>, the Grand Prize winner in the Korean-English short-form video <\/b>category, shared her thoughts, saying, “This contest was a fantastic opportunity to showcase my translation skills and grow professionally. I am deeply grateful to VOITHRU and the sponsors for creating such a meaningful contest.”<\/p>\n

Sangheon Lee<\/span>, CEO of VOITHRU, added, “Through this contest, we aimed to highlight the fascination of cultural content translation, particularly for short-form videos and webtoons.
