The project, fully equipped with Sungrow FPV&#8217;s floating solar system solutions, supplies clean and stable power to the Carmen Copper mining site, contributing to <span class=\"xn-location\">the Philippines&#8217;<\/span> national target of achieving a 35% renewable energy share by 2030.<\/p>\n<div class=\"PRN_ImbeddedAssetReference\" id=\"DivAssetPlaceHolder8829\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mma.prnasia.com\/media2\/2756775\/image_1.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/mma.prnasia.com\/media2\/2756775\/image_1.jpg?p=medium600\" title alt><\/a><br \/><span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>With a total capacity of 4.99 MW, the plant&#8217;s electricity is entirely for self-consumption, meeting around 10% of the mine&#8217;s energy demand.<\/p>\n<p><b><span id=\"spanHghlt6b2d\">Highlights of&nbsp;Sungrow FPV&#8217;s floating solar system:<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li><b>Robust Wind Resistance:<\/b> Located in an area prone to strong winds and extreme weather, the project was engineered with a special anti-wind and wave design based on an ultimate wind speed of <span class=\"xn-money\">75 m<\/span>\/s, enhancing the system&#8217;s impact resistance by 50%. It passed fatigue tests of over one million cycles, far exceeding the industry benchmark of 100,000 cycles. An elastic mooring system effectively absorbs and dissipates wave energy, ensuring long-term stability.<\/li>\n<li><b>Superior Anti-Corrosion Performance:<\/b> An innovative composite coating scheme was applied for anti-corrosion protection. The system withstood 4,200 hours of the harshest CX-class environmental testing and showed no changes after over 18,000 hours of real-world marine exposure, effectively addressing the project&#8217;s corrosion challenges.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Floating solar plants save valuable land resources and offer high generation efficiency, making this project a key step in <span class=\"xn-location\">the Philippines&#8217;<\/span> mining sector&#8217;s green transition.
