HONG KONG<\/span><\/span>, Sept. 15, 2025<\/span><\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ — The CASI Sustainability Forum –“Building Capacity for a Transition Finance Ecosystem in Asia<\/span>“<\/i>, concluded successfully on the final day of Hong Kong Green Week. The event reaffirmed its role as a platform for advancing sustainable finance collaboration across Asia<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Co-organized by the Capacity-building Alliance of Sustainable Investment (CASI), Hong Kong Monetary Authority Infrastructure Financing Facilitation Office (HKMA-IFFO), HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute, and CFA Institute – with support from a wide network of industry and academic partners, the forum welcomed over 150 in-person attendees and nearly 300 online participants from 40 jurisdictions.<\/p>\n

The forum addressed transition finance as a critical priority for Asia<\/span>. Keynote speeches and panel discussions explored three core pillars: robust transition planning, transition-related disclosures, and innovative financial products.<\/p>\n

Dr. Ma Jun<\/span><\/b>, Chairman of CASI, highlighted the alliance’s rapid expansion to 70 global members and its delivery of training to 6,500 professionals across 90+ jurisdictions. He emphasized Asia’s<\/span> dominance in renewable energy growth and called for collective efforts to scale green funding and develop bankable projects.<\/p>\n

Prof. Guojun He<\/span><\/b>, Director of HKU Jockey Club Enterprise Sustainability Global Research Institute, stated: “We are delighted to host the CASI Sustainability Forum jointly with HKMA-IFFO and CFA Institute to advance sustainable finance in the region. This initiative will strengthen Hong Kong’s<\/span> position as an international green financial center.”<\/p>\n

Arthur Yuen<\/span>,<\/b> Deputy Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), reaffirmed: “At the HKMA, we firmly believe that Hong Kong<\/span> can and should play an enabling role in Asia’s<\/span> green transition. We will continue to collaborate with like-minded institutions such as CASI to ensure that the industry is equipped with the knowledge and know-how to facilitate this transition.”<\/p>\n

Paul Moody<\/span><\/b>, Managing Director at CFA Institute, added: “Events like today’s Forum, together with Hong Kong Green Week, demonstrate that Hong Kong<\/span> isn’t just hosting the conversation – it is helping to shape the sustainability agenda.”<\/p>\n

A key highlight was the soft launch of the HKGFA-CASI Certificate in Sustainable Finance. Launching officially in October 2025<\/span>, the online program will feature self-paced learning, expert webinars, and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n

Dr. Ma concluded with five priorities: incentivizing leadership, adopting clear taxonomies, leveraging open-source tools, focusing on supply chain impacts, and strengthening policy incentives.<\/p>\n
