The report includes information on milling performance, flour\/semolina quality, and end-product functionality for <span class=\"xn-location\">Canada&#8217;s<\/span> 2025 wheat crop.<\/p>\n<div id=\"prni_dvprnejpg3e38left\" dir=\"ltr\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/mma.prnasia.com\/media2\/2826485\/Cereals_Canada_Cereals_Canada_Releases_2025_New_Wheat_Crop_Repor.jpg?p=medium600\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"prnejpg3e38left\" title=\"Cereals Canada 2025 Crop Summary\" src=\"https:\/\/mma.prnasia.com\/media2\/2826485\/Cereals_Canada_Cereals_Canada_Releases_2025_New_Wheat_Crop_Repor.jpg?p=medium600\" alt=\"Cereals Canada 2025 Crop Summary\" align=\"middle\"><\/a> <br \/><span>Cereals Canada 2025 Crop Summary<\/span> <\/div>\n<p>&#8220;<span class=\"xn-location\">Canada<\/span> has produced another high-quality wheat crop with good functionality,&#8221; said <span class=\"xn-person\">Dean Dias<\/span>, chief executive officer. &#8220;<span class=\"xn-location\">Canada<\/span> is on track to be the third largest wheat exporter and number one exporter of <i>high quality, high-protein <\/i>wheat. In 2025-2026, 27.4&nbsp;million tonnes of wheat is expected to reach over eighty international markets, with the quality and protein content that customers expect.&#8221;<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li>In 2025, Canadian farmers grew 36.6 million tonnes of wheat, with the majority graded No. 1 or No. 2.<\/li>\n<li>Despite variable growing conditions across the Prairies, timely mid-summer rains supported higher-than-average yields. In <span class=\"xn-location\">Eastern Canada<\/span>, favorable weather throughout the growing season for winter wheat resulted in strong yields and good quality.<\/li>\n<li>Wheat protein content was comparable to average.<\/li>\n<li>All wheat classes from the 2025 crop had good test weights and higher than average thousand kernel weights were seen for all Western composites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This year, as part of its New Crop outreach, Cereals Canada will engage with twenty-nine countries that purchased <span class=\"xn-money\">$8.2 billion<\/span> of Canadian wheat in 2024. The organization, along with value chain members, producer representatives, and the Canadian Grain Commission (CGC), is set to unveil the technical data for the 2025 wheat crop at two customer webinars on <span class=\"xn-chron\">November 18<\/span> and 19.<\/p>\n<p>Cereals <span class=\"xn-location\">Canada<\/span> generated the data for the 2025 New Wheat Crop Report through its Harvest Assessment Program, which has traditionally only included wheat from <span class=\"xn-location\">Western Canada<\/span>. This year, through a partnership with Grain Farmers of <span class=\"xn-location\">Ontario<\/span>, the organization assessed Eastern wheat classes for the first time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This was a milestone year for Cereals Canada,&#8221; said <span class=\"xn-person\">Elaine Sopiwnyk<\/span>, vice president of technical services. &#8220;Having the opportunity to analyze wheat from across the country broadened the expertise of our technical team and streamlined the process of preparing this year&#8217;s New Wheat Crop Report.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The New Wheat Crop Report is prepared and presented annually in partnership with the CGC, value chain members, and provincial grower commissions.
