The 2022 BTC 101 Global Index<\/b> is based on research and review by HORP in Oct-Dec. 2021<\/span> of gender diversity numbers on the Boards and Executive Management teams (over 10000 C-Suite executives) of the world’s 500 largest Companies*. HORP then attributes a composite gender diversity score to each Company on the basis of these two numbers to define the<\/span> final rankings on the BTC 101 Global Index<\/b>. <\/p>\n

Sun Life Financial <\/b>led the 2022 BTC 101 Global Index<\/b> with a Composite gender diversity score of 45.45, followed closely by Zurich Insurance Group<\/b>, Schneider Electric<\/b>, Coca-Cola<\/b> and BHP Group. <\/b><\/p>\n

US-headquartered Companies dominated the BTC 101 Global Index<\/b> with 48 Companies in the BTC 101 Global Index. France (15), UK (11), Canada<\/span> (5), Germany<\/span> (5), Australia<\/span> (4), Switzerland<\/span> (3), Netherlands<\/span> (3), Finland<\/span> (2) followed. Norway, Italy<\/span>, Denmark<\/span>, Ireland<\/span>, Malaysia<\/span> were represented by a single Company each. Coca-Cola<\/b> was the highest ranked US-headquartered company on the Index with composite gender diversity score 44.23 and overall rank 4 a<\/span>nd also led the Beverages Industry. <\/p>\n

Female-CEO led Companies<\/b> of the world’s 500 largest Companies led on the 2022<\/b> BTC 101 Global Index<\/b> with a whopping 19 <\/b>out of 24 Female-CEO led Companies appearing on the 2022 BTC 101 Global Index.<\/b> This included Kathy Warden<\/span> (Northrop Grumman)<\/b>, Julie Sweet (Accenture), Carol Tome (UPS), Catherine MacGregor<\/span> (Engie), <\/b>and Mary Barra<\/span><\/b> (General Motors). <\/b><\/p>\n

Industries<\/b> that led the BTC 101 Global Index<\/b> were Banking (14 Companies on the Index), Pharma (11), Food & Drug Stores (6), Insurance (6),Telecommunication (5), Petroleum Refining (4) and Specialty Retailers (4), Energy (3), Wholesalers (3) and House and Personal Products (3). Italy’s<\/span> UniCredit Group <\/b>led the Banking Industry with a composite gender diversity score of 41.31. <\/p>\n

28 Companies <\/b>were new entrants into the 2022 BTC 101 Global Index <\/b>including BASF, Prudential Plc, Apple<\/b>, Microsoft and Netflix. <\/b><\/p>\n

Overall, the entry-point gender diversity composite<\/b> score<\/b> for the 2022 BTC 101 Global Index<\/b> moved up<\/b> by almost five percentage points to 30% <\/b>over the 2021 BTC 101 Global Index.<\/span> <\/p>\n
