{"id":5780,"date":"2022-02-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-05T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.prnasia.com\/story\/archive\/3653179_AE53179_0"},"modified":"2022-02-05T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-02-05T00:00:00","slug":"rosneft-and-cnpc-agree-on-oil-supply-and-low-carbon-development","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/transmediavictoria.net.au\/?p=5780","title":{"rendered":"Rosneft and CNPC agree on oil supply and low-carbon development"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en.prnasia.com\/prnasia.com-PC\/images\/logo-en-blue-in.png\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"xn-location\">BEIJING<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-chron\">Feb. 5, 2022<\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ &#8212; During the visit of the Russian delegation headed by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to <span class=\"xn-location\">Beijing<\/span> today, PJSC Rosneft Oil Company and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) agreed on oil supplies to <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> and cooperation in low-carbon development. <\/p>\n<p>Rosneft and CNPC signed an agreement to supply 100&nbsp;million tonnes of oil to <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> via <span class=\"xn-location\">Kazakhstan<\/span> over a 10-year period. The&nbsp;crude will be processed at refineries in northwest <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> to meet the country&#8217;s needs for petroleum products.<\/p>\n<p>Rosneft is the leading oil exporter to <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span>, supplying 7% of the country&#8217;s total crude needs every year. Since 2005 the company&#8217;s total shipments to <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> have amounted to 442 million tonnes of oil. Rosneft is also one of the leaders in supplying petroleum products to <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span>, having exported around 41&nbsp;million&nbsp;tonnes of petroleum products since 2009.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the companies will cooperate in several areas of low-carbon development, particularly in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, including methane, energy efficiency technologies, and CO2 capture and storage (CCS). The parties will also consider other potential cooperation areas in low-carbon development.
