{"id":7526,"date":"2022-03-25T07:42:00","date_gmt":"2022-03-25T07:42:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.prnasia.com\/story\/archive\/3703682_AE03682_0"},"modified":"2022-03-25T07:42:00","modified_gmt":"2022-03-25T07:42:00","slug":"wuxi-city-makes-a-splash-hosting-cherry-blossom-festival","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/transmediavictoria.net.au\/?p=7526","title":{"rendered":"Wuxi city makes a splash hosting cherry blossom festival"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en.prnasia.com\/prnasia.com-PC\/images\/logo-en-blue-in.png\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p>WUXI, China, <span class=\"xn-chron\">March 25, 2022<\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ &#8212; Wuxi city \u2013 located in East China&#8217;s <span class=\"xn-location\">Jiangsu<\/span> province \u2013 is stepping into the international spotlight as host of the annual cherry blossom festival from March to April, when thousands of wonderful cherry trees will be in full flower in the Yuantouzhu (Turtle Head Isle) scenic spot. <\/p>\n<p>The festival held its opening ceremony on <span class=\"xn-chron\">March 24<\/span> \u2013 both on-site and online in the wake of the recent COVID-19 outbreak. <\/p>\n<p>Together with the festival, the 2022 Wuxi International Month also kicked off \u2013 providing an opportunity to both celebrate cherry blossoms and boost friendship and communications between Wuxi and other countries. A series of international exchanges and cooperation activities, exhibitions and interactive experiences will be held during the month-long event. <\/p>\n<p>Innovation cooperation activities are also one of the highlights. The RCEP friendship cities cooperation forum, for example, was held on <span class=\"xn-chron\">March 24<\/span> \u2013 to reach consensus on deepening joint work between local governments after the signing of the RCEP or Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement.
