{"id":9177,"date":"2022-05-07T12:03:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-07T12:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.prnasia.com\/story\/archive\/3750021_AE50021_0"},"modified":"2022-05-07T12:03:00","modified_gmt":"2022-05-07T12:03:00","slug":"international-finance-forum-2022-china-and-central-asia-to-boost-cooperation-on-green-finance-and-regional-connectivity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/transmediavictoria.net.au\/?p=9177","title":{"rendered":"International Finance Forum 2022: China and Central Asia to Boost Cooperation on Green Finance and Regional Connectivity"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en.prnasia.com\/prnasia.com-PC\/images\/logo-en-blue-in.png\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"><\/div>\n<p><span class=\"xn-location\">BEIJING<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-chron\">May 7, 2022<\/span> \/PRNewswire\/ &#8212; On <span class=\"xn-chron\">April 28<\/span>, as part of the spring meetings, International Finance Forum (IFF) joined hands with Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Institute (CAREC Institute) to host an event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> and five Central Asian countries.<\/p>\n<p>With the theme of &#8220;New Global Landscape: Green Silk Road Cooperation in <span class=\"xn-location\">Central Asia<\/span>,&#8221; experts and leaders from the regions had a constructive discussion about climate change, energy transition and how countries could further work together to accelerate efforts on green innovation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Kazakhstan<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Kyrgyzstan<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Tajikistan<\/span>, <span class=\"xn-location\">Uzbekistan<\/span> and <span class=\"xn-location\">Turkmenistan<\/span>,&#8221; <span class=\"xn-person\">Yu Hongjun<\/span>, former Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to the Republic of <span class=\"xn-location\">Uzbekistan<\/span>, said in a keynote speech.<\/p>\n<p>Yu added that <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> is expecting an even brighter growth outlook when it comes to the development of multi-national initiatives in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Also at the event, <span class=\"xn-person\">Syed Shakeel Shah<\/span>, Director of the CAREC Institute, said that <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> and the five Central Asian nations have laid a firm foundation for future bilateral cooperation, and that the CAREC Institute is making efforts to boost development and interconnectivity in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, <span class=\"xn-person\">Syed Shakeel Shah<\/span> pointed out that the Central Asian region is facing severe challenges brought by climate change and countries are in need of greater financial support through the development of green finance. To build a future with inclusive growth, governments and corporations must work together, he added.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Hu Xinglan, Principal Regional Cooperation Specialist of Central and West Asia Department of Asian Development Bank, shared the &#8220;CAREC 2030&#8221; strategy, a mission to create an open and inclusive regional cooperation platform. CAREC 2030 prioritizes five operational clusters from economic and financial stability to human development, encompassing both traditional and new areas of cooperation in the region.<\/p>\n<p><b>About Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Institute<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Jointly formed by <span class=\"xn-location\">China<\/span> and Central Asian nations, the CAREC Institute is an intergovernmental organization dedicated to promoting economic cooperation in <span class=\"xn-location\">Central Asia<\/span> and along the Silk Road through knowledge generation and sharing.
